During this time of thanksgiving I found myself being thankful for so many things, friends, family and though our economy may be in a recession, and petty crimes happen every day, our country which is for the most part a stable, safe (so to speak) place. I cannot imagion a place where people are persecuted for their religious and ideological beliefs, where rifts lead by radicals whose devote beliefs will stop at nothing to break the country apart, in order for their side to "win." I cannot fathom the feeling of terror someone living in a place like that would feel; to not feel safe in ones own home...terrifying. The Mumbai attack in India was simply terrifying. Its amazing to think that most of these attackers were young, probably younger than most of us, and had been so brainwashed as to think that they are doing good by killing. simply unfathomable.

That is a beautiful and horribly sad picture.
I was in the airport this weekend and had my computer open to cnn.com. They showed images of a hotel lobby stained with blood. It's been staying with me and I keep thinking about it. It's sad how often these things happen around the world.
